The essentials
- Home fibre is fast and cheap by global standards — plans around 500 Mbps to 1 Gbps typically cost 600 to 1,000 baht a month.
- The main providers are AIS Fibre, True Online, 3BB (owned by AIS since 2023) and NT.
- Some condo buildings only have one or two providers wired in. Ask before you sign the lease.
- 5G mobile data is widely available in cities and makes a good backup.
- Co-working spaces are common in Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Phuket, with day passes and monthly plans.
